User Interface: The Options
wnconnect can be set to
find the shortest path only or all possible paths (returned in order
of increasing length).
[A breadth-first search strategy is used in the implementation. For details, see the how-it-works page here.]
|There are two choices for reporting the path found in the output panel. The default choice is to simply report the words and the relations. However, wnconnect can also annotate the words and synsets with WordNet synset ids (and offsets as appropriate).|
By default, paths are displayed textually only. In addition, graphs
can be built and displayed (inline or in a separate window, see next
option) separately for each path or summarized in a single graph.
wnconnect builds graph as required and calls neato to render the graph. See the separate page on neato for information about fonts.]
Assuming graphing has been turned on, see option above, you have the
choice of displaying the graph inline with the text or in a separate
window either in .png (Portable Network Graphics) or PDF format.
[The built-in MacOS X application Preview is the default program used to display the graph in a separate window.]
|A dialog box for setting font options for the neato program can be displayed using the "Other Settings..." button. See the separate page on neato here.|
